Founded in 2009, AU NOIR is a Montreal-based company specializing in the wholesale and retail of premium menswear. Over the years, in addition to shirts, AU NOIR has become known for its distinctive polos and original blazers, and more recently, for our stretch pants.

Many distinctive elements make an AU NOIR shirt unmistakably AU NOIR. Our fit, sophisticated fabrics and design details, quality and service make us a trusted brand.

The embroidery under the cuffs and inside the collars of our shirts is our signature. We use a variety of contrasting stitches and button colors to enhance the originality of the finished product. The reverse side of the cuffs and the inside of the collar are finished with contrasting and specialty fabrics that are always tasteful and sometimes playful, adding subtle character to our shirts.

All these design techniques begin with our premium cotton canvas. We use soft jacquards, woven cottons and the finest cotton satins sourced from around the world.

AU NOIR shirts are tailored to the body and drape beautifully across the shoulders and under the arms, allowing for elegance and freedom of movement. Fabric quality and fit come first. This applies not only to our shirts, but to our entire menswear collection.

Based in Montreal, Canada, the North American fashion capital, our collection is designed and developed entirely in-house. Our blazers feature 360° stretch and are soft and stylish, delivering unmatched comfort and style. Advanced techniques, distinctive button placement and contrasting interior linings are just some of the reasons our blazers stand apart and have revolutionized the men's sport coat industry in our market.

In 2019, AU NOIR acquired Chemise Empire, a century-old Quebec manufacturer employing more than 100 people, creating a synergy with the goal of producing these premium products locally.
